What makes these Tofu Nuggets so flavourful?
The key to making tofu so flavourful is marinating it. But the trick to marinating it properly, is drying out the tofu first. This will get rid of the excess water in the tofu so when you add the soy sauce and garlic, it will soak it right up and keep it inside. The Panko breadcrumbs are flavoured with paprika, garlic powder, oregano, cayenne and salt which compliment the soy and garlic marinade.

What makes these Tofu Nuggets so Crispy?
After drying out the tofu, then marinating it, the tofu will only take in what it can hold, and it will hold onto it during the entire cooking process. It is a magical thing, and we can only be so grateful for this! The first dipping of the tofu is in a careful mixture of cornstarch and flour, each one being ever so important in the breading process. The top layer of the Panko crumbs is the final touch to the crisping process. And the cool thing? You don’t have to fry them! Enjoy!
